PropOps lets you send WhatsApp messages to contractors and tenants directly from a job record. Messages are composed using configurable templates with dynamic placeholders, then opened in WhatsApp Web or the WhatsApp mobile app for you to review and send.
No WhatsApp Business API account is required. PropOps generates a pre-filled WhatsApp message link — when you click Send, WhatsApp opens with the message ready to go. You confirm and send it yourself.

How it works

1

Template selected

Choose a message template from the configured list in your admin panel.
2

Recipient chosen

Select the contractor or tenant to message. Their phone number is pulled from their profile automatically.
3

Message composed

PropOps substitutes the template placeholders (job reference, address, contractor name, etc.) and generates the final message text.
4

WhatsApp opens

WhatsApp Web or the WhatsApp app opens with the message pre-filled and the recipient’s number set. Review the message and tap Send in WhatsApp.

Message templates

Templates are managed in Admin → WhatsApp Templates. Each template has:
FieldDescription
NameInternal label for the template
BodyThe message text with placeholder variables
VariablesDynamic values substituted at send time (e.g. job reference, address, contractor name)
Templates do not need external approval — they are managed entirely within PropOps.

Use cases

  • Job assignment — notify a contractor that a new job has been assigned
  • Appointment reminders — remind a tenant about a scheduled visit
  • Status updates — inform a tenant that their repair is complete
  • Document requests — ask a contractor to upload an expired certification

Message logging

Every WhatsApp message sent through PropOps is logged against the job record, including the template used, recipient, message text, and timestamp. This provides a full audit trail of communications.
