1. Purpose
This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) defines the boundaries of permitted conduct when using PropOps products and related services. It supplements our Terms of Service. This policy applies to both:- PropOps Web — a self-hosted property-operations platform for SMBs.
- PropOps iOS — a native iOS application for solo contractors.
2. Permitted Use
2.1 PropOps Web
PropOps Web is designed for property operations management. You may use it to:- Create, manage, and track maintenance jobs and remedial works.
- Manage contractors, tenants, landlords, and agent accounts.
- Upload and store property-related documents, photos, and certificates.
- Generate reports, analytics, and AI-assisted insights.
- Communicate with stakeholders via case notes, email, and WhatsApp integrations.
2.2 PropOps iOS
PropOps iOS is designed for solo contractor job management. You may use it to:- Create, manage, and track your jobs and tasks.
- Store client details, job notes, photos, and documents.
- Manage your schedule and job locations.
- All data stored within PropOps iOS is for your own personal or business use.
3. Prohibited Conduct
You must not:3.1 Security & Infrastructure
- Attempt to bypass authentication, authorisation, or access controls.
- Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service without written authorisation.
- Introduce viruses, trojans, worms, or other malicious code.
- Deliberately overload, flood, or disrupt the Service (denial-of-service).
- Access accounts, data, or systems you are not authorised to access.
3.2 Data & Content
- Upload illegal, defamatory, obscene, or discriminatory content.
- Store personal data that is not related to legitimate property-operations purposes.
- Use the Service to collect, harvest, or store personal data about third parties without a lawful basis.
- Share login credentials with unauthorised individuals.
3.3 Commercial Misuse
- Resell, sublicence, or redistribute access to either product without written agreement.
- Use automated scripts, bots, or scrapers to access PropOps Web unless via our documented API with valid authentication.
- Use either product to send spam or unsolicited communications.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or create derivative works from either product.
3.4 Legal & Regulatory
- Use either product in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations.
- Facilitate money laundering, fraud, or any other criminal activity.
- Circumvent data retention or deletion policies.
3.5 PropOps iOS — App Store Guidelines
- Use PropOps iOS in any way that violates the Apple App Store Review Guidelines.
- Attempt to sideload, distribute, or install PropOps iOS outside of the Apple App Store.
4. Resource Limits
To ensure fair access for all users:- API rate limits are enforced per account and per endpoint.
- File upload sizes are subject to per-file and per-account limits.
- Bulk operations (imports, deletions) are subject to concurrency controls.
- Excessive automated requests may be throttled or blocked.
5. Monitoring & Enforcement
We reserve the right to:- Monitor usage for compliance with this AUP.
- Investigate suspected violations.
- Remove or disable content that violates this policy.
- Suspend or terminate accounts that breach this policy, with or without prior notice depending on severity.
- Report illegal activity to law enforcement.
