The coverage map helps you find the right contractor for a job based on their location and trade. This guide covers the most common map tasks.

Finding contractors near a location

1

Open the coverage map

Click Coverage Map in the sidebar navigation.
2

Search by postcode

Type a postcode or address into the search bar at the top of the map. Select the correct result from the autocomplete suggestions.
3

Review coverage

The map centres on the searched location. Contractor coverage areas (isochrones) are displayed as shaded regions. Contractors whose coverage includes the searched location are highlighted.

Filtering contractors

1

Open the filter panel

Use the filter controls on the left side of the map.
2

Filter by trade

Select a trade (e.g. plumber, electrician) to show only contractors with that skill.
3

Filter by name

Type a contractor’s name to find them on the map.
4

Adjust radius or travel time

Use the radius or travel-time sliders to narrow results to contractors who can reach the area within a specific time.

Switching between local and nationwide

Use the tabs above the map to switch between:
  • Local — contractors within a defined radius of the current view
  • Nationwide — all contractors regardless of location
Use the local tab when assigning a routine job. Switch to nationwide when you need a specialist trade that may not be available locally.

Toggling point-of-interest overlays

Click the layers icon on the map to toggle overlays:
  • Hospitals — nearby NHS facilities
  • Parking — car parks near the job site
  • Landmarks — other notable locations
These overlays use OpenStreetMap data and help when planning access to a job site.

Viewing a contractor’s profile

Click on a contractor pin or isochrone area on the map to open a summary card showing:
  • Contractor name and trade
  • Contact details
  • Coverage radius and travel time
  • Certification status
Click View Profile on the card to navigate to the full contractor profile page.
